One of the main reasons for a summer Costa Rica adventure is to experience an epic moment on Earth! When humpback whales come to gather in warm tropical waters.
This is a monumental bucket list life experience. Here, at this time of year we get to witness magic. The Golfo Dulce has several species of whales that visit the area and use it as a breeding ground and nursery for their calves.
The area is an ideal breeding ground due to the warm water temperature, paired with an abundance of small fish and plankton which these species feed on. Also an abundance of two species of dolphins.
We also get the bonus of visiting when sea turtles are nesting in abundance. Bring these two natural phenomena together and we definitely have no shortage of AWE!
We also chose the timing to match the lunar cycle, as the new moon is the time for epic bioluminescence swimming at night. Imaging swimming in warm, healing waters like swimming through the stars!
Together we will adventure, connect deeply with nature and each other, enter into deeper mindfulness, stretch our bodies with yoga and reconnect with our own inner waters once again……all within an entrusted circle of women.

What’s Included
9 Days/ 8 Nights
Lodging at 3 beautiful Sites:
- 1st night is on the water & close to the small airport for an easy drop in to get oriented and shake off the airport dust.
- 2nd spot is at a remote oceanfront jungle lodge accessible only by boat, completely off-grid and on solar, at the base of Piedras Blancas National Park. It is ecological/rustic yet charming, immersed in nature and a farm-to-table-eco experience.
- 3rd spot is a remote eco jungle/Yoga lodge perched in the deep jungle overlooking the Pacific Ocean, also off grid and on solar. Accommodations are glamping style ecological-safari canvas tents with private bathrooms.
3 Healthy Costa Rica gourmet meals per day
Excursions/Activities including:
- 2 whale/dolphin watching boat tours (1 of which includes snorkeling)
- Tropical organic farm tour/coconut milk processing
- Tropical medicinal magic tasting tour of elixirs & healing brews & taste cacao grown fresh on site

Some Additional Details:
- Airfare is not included in the retreat cost. Feel free to organize with others to have the same flights.
- You’ll book your own flights into San Jose, Costa Rica and then catch a smaller plane into Puerto Jimenez, on Sansa Air. (More info. on this later in your welcome packet, that you will receive upon your registration.)
- Everything is included in the retreat, except if you choose anything beyond what’s listed, or want to choose extra excursions or massage/body work, and the first night’s dinner out is on you.
Our home for the week:
- Most rooms are double occupancy, with a few triple & 1-quadruple option, with everyone in their own beds. (if you want a shared bed, your cost goes down, just reach out & we’ll go over details)
- If you would like your own single accommodation for just you in a private room, the cost goes up, but it is possible.
- We will steep in an off the beaten part of Costa Rica and enter into a truly magical, untouched landscape. Most travelers do not make it to where we’re going. Shhhh, its a secret gem! Natural Geographic claims it as one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. It’s a place where nature is still in tact and the fabric is unbroken and where wildlife abounds.
